LITANY FOR MARRIAGE PRAYER CARD Written by: Aaron and Marie Loesel, with collaboration of a few devout couples. In Tobit 8:7, Tobit and his wife, Sarah prayer together, “Send down Your mercy and grant that we may grow old together.” In Ephesians, St. Paul says to wives and husbands, “Be subordinate to one another out of reverence for Christ. Wives should be subordinate to their husbands as to the Lord…Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ loved the church and handed himself over for her to sanctify her.” And the great St. John Paul II said, “Marriage is an act of will that signifies and involves a mutual gift, which unites the spouses and binds them to their eventual souls.
